Anal Cunt - Trivia

During a show in 2000 in Providence, Rhode Island, Dropdead opened for Anal Cunt, but when Anal Cunt took the stage, Putnam began insulting Bob Otis from Dropdead, and eventually the audience, throwing out racial slurs and performing Nazi salutes. Finally Otis got on stage and knocked Putnam off the stage, and a fight broke out.
This incident is covered in the documentary Slave To The Grind (2018).
Singer and songwriter Seth Putnam was in a coma for nearly a month due to a drug overdose, and doctors were prepared to pull the plug until his mother intervened. Anal Cunt's first live show after the coma had Putman sitting in a chair the whole show. It was the first time they had ever played "You're in a Coma" live. Putman claims he chose to perform the song live because "I don't want people to think I'm a hypocrite. I don't want people to think that I can't make fun of myself."
Anal Cunt have been known to send their records to magazines they knew would hate their music, just to see them give bad reviews.
